Usage Instructions

  • Sit or recline in a comfortable position in a darkened room with no external stimuli. Adjust the volume to a comfortable level, as low as possible without having to strain. If you have a decibel readout, adjust from +/- 11 dB.
  • The Sound Therapy recording was technologically and specifically recorded for headphone use only. Headphones should cover the entire ear.
  • We highly suggest the Sennheiser HD500A, which was designed for audio therapeutics. No, we don’t sell them, but you can read about them and get them from VitalSounds.com
  • Close your eyes. It is advised that you wear a sleep mask in order to block out any and all external visual stimuli.
  • Breath slowly and deeply. For best results, silently recite a “mantra” with each deep inhale and exhale to keep the mind from wandering and also to facilitate the Sympathetic Resonance Vibration. Any meaningful, positive phrase will do.
  • If you listen with a child or a loved one, you will need a second set of headphones as well as a “splitter” (available inexpensively at any electronics store) that allows two headphone jacks to plug into a single outlet. Embracing children while you listen helps them relax and increases the sympathetic resonance for you both.

To realize the complete benefits of the recordings, you need to hear the full range of frequencies, harmonics, and overtones (the complete “Sound Bath”). This is possible only when using a stable, dedicated player.

Any method of listening to or reproducing the recording that can in any way degrade its sound or performance will hinder the desired result.
